Ms. Esmeralda, Preschool Teacher

Ms. Esmeralda is 25 years old, she has a 2 year old daughter. She has been working with 3 and 4 years olds for 4 years now. She loves being with that group age and she looks forward to be able to have her associates in early childhood. She loves St. John preschool plus because everyone helps and they are all very supportive and caring people.

Learning is Magic!

Four year olds are so inquisitive and want to know everything! The world is so big and magical for them. In this classroom, topics are explored more comprehensively, as they are discovering their world around them. Their education is filled with immersive experiments, exploration, cause and effect activities, art, and play.

There is so much magic and whimsy to learning at this age. Our classroom is designed to be a safe and stimulating environment for young minds to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. We begin emergent writing and literacy, and continue to build on basic math skills.

We encourage self expression and identity through play, art, and collaboration. We foster a deep sense of community in our classroom through group projects like our layered ocean and class books, building important interpersonal skills and self esteem.

Our centers have become more focused. Children now have everything they need to create, write, and grow. Our centers are filled with word cards, books, puzzles, craft materials, and math and science activities. Children have access to creative and sensory tools as we work on skills like handwriting, mathematical literacy, and identity.

Our two biggest centers are science and dramatic play. Our dramatic play center transforms as we move through the school year from a home, to a hospital, a veterinary office, a restaurant - any topic that embodies the growing complexity and depth of their play.
