Chapel

Our chapel program is a cherished part of our educational approach. We provide a welcoming and age-appropriate environment for children to explore their faith and values. Every week, our children gather in our cozy chapel space. Led by the caring and dedicated ministry staff at Saint John’s United Methodist Church, we learn about various religious traditions, simple prayers, and songs that encourage reflection, kindness, and empathy. Through these engaging activities, our little ones begin to grasp important life lessons and develop a sense of wonder about the world around them. The preschool chapel program fosters a sense of community and instills the values of love, respect, and tolerance in our young learners, setting a strong foundation for their future growth and understanding of the world.

Kitchen

Our wonderful Chef, Tim, brings a touch of gourmet excellence to our preschool community. Chef Tim offers hot lunch options for our students periodically throughout the year, as well as cooking lessons for our budding chefs. The children explore the art of making dishes from scratch, using the very ingredients they've seen flourish in our community gardens. These hands-on experiences not only impart culinary skills but also an appreciation for the journey from soil to plate.

Graduation Celebrations

Each May, we have a graduation celebration for our departing Pre-K students before they head to kindergarten. There is a lot of love and care and preparation for these celebrations, including songs performed by the students, and sets they helped create.

Music

Every week, our little musicians eagerly gather together to embark on a captivating journey through the world of rhythm and melody. Led by our talented and passionate music instructor, the program introduces children to the joy of music through interactive activities, singing, and playing simple instruments. As we explore different instruments and experiment with our voices, we build a strong foundation for self expression. Our music program is not just about creating music; it's about fostering creativity, boosting confidence, and igniting a lifelong love for the magical world of melodies.

Educational Guests

Throughout the year, we welcome a diverse array of experts, professionals, and community members to engage with our children, igniting their curiosity. Our educational guests, ranging from scientists and artists to firefighters and local authors, share their expertise and experiences in an interactive and child-friendly manner. Through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and storytelling sessions, our children gain valuable insights and real-world knowledge that complement our curriculum. These experiences encourage our children to ask questions, explore new interests, and see the world with fresh eyes. Educational guests are a cherished part of our educational approach, sparking a lifelong love for learning in our young minds.
